In fact many people choose to have their building without any insulation due mostly to the costs and the particular environment where the building is situated.

If you do decide to insulate the metal siding styrofoam insulation would be a valid type of insulation to consider. The only way to remedy this problem is to put a vinyl type coating over the steel to protect the finish. Alternatively you could use fiberglass insulation with a moisture barrier to prevent the build up of condensation as metal is prone to heating and cooling from day to night. While sidings like fiber cement and wood require regular scraping painting and caulking vinyl siding only requires an occasional cleaning with a standard.
