You can also use rubbing alcohol or mineral spirits to remove any residue from the glass. Peel off the silicone adhesive as much as you can most of it should peel off.

You can also use silica sand with water and abrasively remove it with a scrub pad if it doesn t scratch the tile. Some solvents may remove the coloring from the hardwood floor. You may have to tweak it back to proper sheen but that shouldn t be too difficult. If it still leaves a film residue on the surface of the tile you could try to use xylene acetone or goof off with a scrub pad.

Apply the silicone caulk remover mentioned earlier to the area where the caulking was used and clean it using a damp cloth. Wipe up the loosened silicone as you work so it doesn t accumulate around your work area. Apply the silicone remover to the caulk and allow it to sit on the caulk for the recommended amount of time. Step 5 get rid of residue.
