I trialled a few of the conventional rug on carpet solutions to get it to stay put though nothing worked so out of desperation i finally decided to try something a little more innovative that is as mentioned previously possibly weird and or crazy.
How to get a rug to stay put on carpet.
I ve tried double sided tape which works fair but sometimes the rug will creep and get wrinkles in it and it leaves a sticky residue on the carpet to which dirt sticks to if you take up the scatter rug and i ve tried the product that helps carpet to stay put on linoleum but it doesn t work on carpet.

The tape is tacky enough to hold the rug in place on any surface but it still allows you to move the rug when necessary and shouldn t leave any residue on the floor or carpet.

In those cases laying a thick luxurious shag rug can add a softness and elegance to the space.
