Run a sink full of warm soapy water and with a soft wash cloth clean the pottery. Soap and water soak. To remove stains from the outside of a dish or cup make a paste with borax and lemon juice or vinegar and spread it liberally on the stain. Finish up by rinsing the sink with clean water.

Create a mixture of baking soda and vinegar until it creates a thick paste. Scrub the rust stain gently with the cleaning pad or sponge until the rust stain is removed. Use as much table salt as needed to cover the stain in your enamel. Get the sink wet with warm water and then sprinkle a small amount of the cleanser onto the stained areas.
